First Impressions on Aibon’s Latest Return
When I first heard that Aibon has returned to the media spotlight to do an interview, I thought of swallows and Capistrano - it seems that every year around this time there’ll be an Aibon Eruption of some sort. This wasn’t the kindest way to think about it, certainly, but it showed how tired I had gotten of this seemingly unending drama.

Almost An EpiphanySo. Haruna comes to me and I sit her on my lap to watch the new Buono! PV together. And as I’m watching, it dawns on me: all of this Jpop idol stuff is pretty silly. Which is a strange conclusion to reach, since this isn’t exactly the silliest of PVs I’ve ever seen. Far from it, actually. Still, there was this weird edge to the thought, a chance of true epiphany… when in reality, I’m probably just tired and preoccupied with my child. I fully expect to watch the PV again tomorrow and think, “This is genius!” I look forward to that.
